When: 7
and 8 August 2008
Where: National University of Singapore,
Singapore
On 7-8 August 2010, just prior to the first Youth Olympic
Games in Singapore, the Centre for the Mind at the University
of Sydney and it's partner the National University of Singapore,
held the inaugural What Makes a Young Champion? forum. |
The first What
Makes a Young Champion? event took place in
Singapore on the eve of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games.
Thisyouth-focused forum explored championship from
a youthful perspective. We explorde championship
from a 21st century perspective and examined
such questions as the role of the media in spotlighting
champions, whether age matters, and what exactly drives
a champion.
Our celebrity speakerswere youthful champions from
around the globe who have demonstrated success in various
fields. The young audience had the opportunity
to listen, interact with, and be inspired by these champions.
For more information on this exciting initiative, go

Makes a Young Champion? website.
